Jeff Yuknis
Managing Director
Jeff Yuknis is a Managing Director at BCP. He is involved in multiple areas of the firm’s investment activities.
Jeff serves as a member of the firm’s Infrastructure Investment Committee and serves on the board of Clear Current. Prior to joining BCP, Jeff served as Vice President for Exelon, a Fortune 100 company involved in every stage of the energy business: power generation, competitive energy sales, and transmission and delivery. Jeff’s 16-year career at Exelon spanned leadership positions in all aspects of the electric value chain. His experience includes responsibility as COO pf Exelon Transmission Company and COO of Exelon Microgrid Company. In addition to power and utility marketing, power purchase restructuring, and M&A, Jeff has led engineering-focused functions with the responsibility of identifying and pursuing grid upgrade projects designed to deliver system efficiencies and lower costs to customers. Jeff has been a leader in deal origination, mergers and acquisitions analysis and modeling, due diligence processes, business case development, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, new business establishment, and business operations.
Jeff joined BCP in 2018 to help lead the firm’s infrastructure investments. Throughout his career, Jeff has successfully acquired over a dozen regulated utility companies, including supporting the acquisitions of over $3 billion (at announcement) of gas LDCs from Entergy, CenterPoint, and BCP’s pending acquisition of New Mexico Gas Company from Emera. Jeff and BCP are successfully experienced across multiple states, multiple regulatory jurisdictions, and varied transitional arrangements with previous owners.
Jeff received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
