Phillip Preis
Managing Director
Phillip Preis is a Managing Director – Capital Markets at Bernhard Capital Partners. He is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities.
Prior to joining Bernhard Capital, Phil served as a Managing Director at Dundon Advisors LLC, where he was a leader of the firm’s investment banking efforts. From 2006 to 2018, Phil served as a Director in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey, Inc. In this role, he led deal teams in the execution of in- and out-of-court restructurings, including recapitalizations, exchange offers, distress for control transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and debt/equity capital raises. Before his tenure at Houlihan Lokey, Inc., Phil was an Associate Director in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank, where he worked as an investment banker on transactions involving the purchase or sale of asset management firms.
Phil received his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
